Everything is Made of Nothing…

Everything is made from atoms, the basic building blocks of matter. But if we take a closer look at a single atom, there is actually less there than you can imagine. An atom is about 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times smaller than a golf ball!!! It’s pretty hard to even imagine something of that size. An atom contains an electron that orbits a proton with nothing else in-between. The amount of space connecting the proton and the electron makes up more than 99.99% of the whole atom. This means that atoms are mostly empty and consequently, everything is essentially made of nothing.
